Torworth is famous for its Strawberry Cream Teas and Fun Dog Show. This year’s 14th Annual Torworth Village Festival on Saturday 8th July looks to be bigger and better than ever.
There are free activities for the children including a bouncy castle, face painting and sports. Have your photo taken with owls or reptiles. The climbing wall is back by popular demand and a pancake tossing competition will be held.
The celebrations will also coincide with Torworth’s sixth Annual Dog Show, where you can register your dog in the popular pedigree and fun classes and also get free dog behavioural advice from the experts.
There will be displays by the Bawtry Youth Theatre Group, the Makaton Choir, SteelPantastic and why not have a go at Burlesque Chair Dancing (family friendly)? Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and Friends of Daneshill Lakes will be there, together with a wide range of stalls including the Grand Raffle with great prizes, making a great day out for the whole family!
It is open from 11.00am to 4.00pm and entry is free. You can also enjoy ‘Party in the Park’ from 6.00pm to 10.00pm (subject to weather). Find Torworth Village Park on Holds Lane, Torworth, Retford DN22 8PF.
