Retford Men’s Probus Club

by | 15 July 2019 | Group meeting, Probus

Retford Men’s Probus Club has been running since 1971. Meetings take place at the Westhill Community Centre, Ordsall at 10.00am every other Friday. If you want to get involved please view

Welcome to the new season of Retford Men’s Probus meetings. The first two speakers in September were Benjamin, who gave members a real insight into Buddism, and then the club’s old friend Steve Smart, who made the life of David Nixon live again, with his jokes and tricks.

The club’s two top drawer speakers for October are George Buchanan, who will talk about growing up at Hodsock Priory and Eugene Gunn, who will be discussing ‘The Guns of WWI’.

If you like the idea of an extremely informal group who meet once a fortnight, you could consider Retford Men’s Probus Club. It is non-political, and not a fundraising organisation, members just meet for good old-fashioned fellowship every other Friday morning at Westhill Community Centre, in Ordsall at 10.00am. If you are interested in joining the club, please email Dennis Beevers at and he will give you more details.
