The Village Harmony Choir have had a busy few months preparing for, and performing in, their latest series of concerts. At Christmas, they performed an eclectic mix of traditional and modern seasonal pieces in aid of the JOEL the complete package charity. This wonderful organisation supports people who have experienced loss in pregnancy through stillbirth, etc, and the choir was pleased to be able to donate £250.00 to them.
Members presented the cheque at one of their recent rehearsals. The choir also recently performed at Clayworth Church and held their own ‘Valentines Afternoon’ in Sturton Village Hall. Rehearsals are now in full swing for their next concerts, on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th May in Sturton Village Hall. This time they’re using the theme of film and television music so there’ll be lots of familiar tunes. More details to follow nearer the time.
