The Village Harmony Choir have been busy performing over the Christmas season with three well-attended concerts. The first was at St John’s Church, Clarborough, a joint concert with Worksop Miners Brass Band in aid of church funds, the second was in Sturton Village Hall in aid of the Joel charity, and the third was in St Aidan’s Church, Doncaster.

The choir took a well-deserved break over Christmas and New Year, and practices resumed on Monday 8th January at Sturton Village Hall. Their next concert is on Saturday 17th February at 2.00pm in Sturton Village Hall. After a few years of having a ‘Valentines’ concert in the summer (their ‘Music for a Romantic Summers’ Evening’), the choir has returned to having ‘Valentines’ in February, and this concert will feature romantic songs and some of our old favourites. Tickets, costing £6.00, will be available from June on 01427 880965.

The following week the choir will be performing at St Peter’s Church, Clayworth, their first concert in this church, and they are looking forward to it. The concert starts at 7.30pm. New members are always welcome to join the choir, they practice every Monday evening in Sturton Village Hall from 7.30pm to 9.00pm.
