Ryton Chorale

In a way that they never thought possible a year ago, Ryton Chorale ‘meets’ online on Monday evenings via Zoom. A varied repertoire is in rehearsal, from madrigals and choral classics to motets, spirituals and folk songs, under the direction of conductor Simon Lumby, who accompanies the choir from his music room at home.

With Christmas fast approaching, they are hoping to produce a choir performance of a carol, recorded individually at home and technically put together by Simon. It can be heard from the middle of December on YouTube and on the choir’s website, www.rytonchorale.org.uk.

They look forward to next year, hopeful that they will be able to bring beautiful music again to the audiences of North Nottinghamshire.
