Anston Male Voice Choir will hold its annual concert at the Crossing, Worksop, at 7.00pm on Saturday 31st August. In attendance, there will be the hilarious singer and comedienne Judith Hibbert as the special guest. Led by musical director Howard Thomas, the choir will be singing a programme from their 2019 repertoire, accompanied on the grand piano by Cynthia Herrington. Judith will be performing her hilarious impersonations of some of our theatrical greats, such as Julie Andrews, Joyce Grenfell, Gracie Fields and many more.
The cost of tickets is £9.00 for adults, £8.00 concessions and £5.00 for children and students. Tickets are available from Neil, call 01909 773314 or email tickets@anstonmvc.co.uk, and from The Crossing Church and Centre, Worksop S80 2AT on 01909 473375.
The choir are actively seeking new members, and all are welcome. They meet almost every Thursday at 7.00pm at South Anston Methodist Church, S25 5DT, for two hours. Most of the money raised through their events is for charity and good causes, with most being currently donated to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice — raising in excess of £6,500 for charities and good causes in 2018 alone.
Anyone considering joining can contact the group by email at info@anstonmvc.co.uk, or call 01909 281538.
