Many couples like to present their guests with a wedding favour as a memento of their special day, for some they also want to show their support and donate generously to a charity close to their heart.
Having been approached by one such bride to be earlier this year, Bassetlaw Hospice Fundraising Co-ordinator Debbie Rawlings set about the task of designing a wedding favour that would fit the bill for both the happy couple and the hospice.
The feeling was that it should be recognisable as the hospice, whilst bridal with a symbol of love and wearable for all. Anyone familiar with Bassetlaw Hospice will know that it has the emblem of a Cedar Tree, so that seemed a good place to start. A pin badge seemed appropriate so that once guests have been seated they can wear it for the rest of the day and take it home. It seemed logical to have it white, with a silver back, so that it would be visible on most colour clothing, even the bride can wear it about her person if she wants to! To symbolise love, you’ll find a red heart at the very root of the tree. The favours can be accompanied by a place setting card if required.
Hospice wedding favours are available for a donation of £2.00 each, please contact their Appeal Office on 01777 710444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
