What’s on at Retford Library in June:

Poetry Café – From Snow to Sunshine
Monday 12th June, 2.00pm – 3.30pm
Join us for a relaxing afternoon of poetry. If you wish to share a favourite poem on the theme of weather, please let us have the title by 31st May. You are welcome, of course, just to come along to listen. Tickets cost 50p, to include refreshments, and booking is advisable.

Mr Straw’s House — A talk
Thursday 15th June, 7.00pm
Join Amanda Neilson from the National Trust for a fascinating introduction to the family and their home — revealing areas not normally on display. Tickets cost £1, to include refreshments, and booking is essential.

Home Library Service
Retford Library has a team of Royal Voluntary Service volunteers who deliver a selection of library books to those who are housebound and cannot access the library. If you know someone who would benefit from this service, please let a member of the library staff know. Also, if you would like to volunteer to be part of this scheme, we would be happy to hear from you.

Children’s Specials
Bookstart Bear will be making a special appearance on Wednesday 7th June from 10.00am with a session called ‘Let’s Explore Outdoors’.
June is ‘Where’s Wally Month’ in the children’s library. Pick up your mission sheet to take up the challenge.
