Village Harmony resumed rehearsals at the beginning of January, refreshed and relaxed after its Christmas break. The choir is preparing for its next concert which is a Valentine’s-themed afternoon, in Sturton Village Hall on Saturday 16th February at 2.00pm. There will be lots of romantic, lovey dovey songs and the hall will be decorated in a colourful Valentine’s theme. Seating arrangements are around tables with non-alcoholic drinks and nibbles provided, please bring your own alcoholic drinks and even a picnic if you like! Tickets are £6.50 each and are available from the Hub in Retford, or from June Taylor-Rabjohn on 01427 880965.

The choir’s Christmas concerts were very well received. They started the season at St Paul’s Church Morton, and finished at Sturton Village Hall, with St Joseph’s Church Hall in Retford and St John the Baptist Church in Clarborough in between. All the concerts were well attended, plenty of mulled wine was drunk and mince pies eaten by both choir members and audiences!

Village Harmony is on the hunt for new members so if you would like to join please come to Sturton Village Hall on a Monday evening at 7.30pm and see what they’re about.
