Retford Ramblers Group are always happy to meet people who would like to join one of their Sunday walks. Experienced walkers or anyone just wanting to give it a try will be made welcome.
Their programme offers walks of varying lengths and in a variety of locations in our local area, in Lincolnshire and, of course, the Peak District. They walk on most Sundays and meet in the Chapelgate Car Park, where car sharing is encouraged. Planned walks are:
- 12th May — Roche Abbey day walk of eight miles with some gentle ascent, but generally easy terrain
- 19th May — Win Hill and Hope Cross from Ladybower, a strenuous day walk of eight and a half miles
- 2nd June — Market Rasen, nine miles in the rolling Lincolnshire countryside
- 9th June — Hartington, a longer moderate day walk of 10 miles
