Have you been to ‘la belle France’ this summer, or at least followed the Tour de France on TV? Les Francophiles de Tickhill aim to foster an interest in things French, without expecting fluency in the language. Last year the group attracted visitors from North Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire as well as from South Yorkshire, so members trust you will find the group’s new programme equally enticing.
The new season begins on Wednesday 4th October at 7.30pm at the Parish Room, Tickhill DN11 9HZ, when the group shall welcome back a favourite speaker, Thierry Viennois, who will entertain members (in English) with the story of Louis XIV and Versailles. His research may be more authentic than the recently broadcast Canal+ series!
