On Wednesday 9th January (a week later than normal), Les Francophiles de Tickhill shall welcome a well-known local member, Rosemary Chappell, who will speak in English about ‘Le rêve français du Panama’, explaining how the inspiration for the construction of the Panama Canal originated in France.
Then, on Wednesday 6th February Neil Robson will present an illustrated talk on a WWII RAF crash site near Caen in Normandy. This site is special to Neil, as it was his uncle who perished there.
The group meets, as ever, at the Parish Room, Tickhill DN11 9HZ, at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome at a charge of £3.00. Refreshments are provided. For further details contact Jan Murray on 07463 007789.
