What’s on at Retford Library in December and January:

Table-Top Gaming Day
Saturday 15th December, 10.00am to 3.00pm
The worlds of libraries and table-top gaming collide as Inspire Libraries invite you to join in a day of board game fun. Retford Library now has its own selection of table-top games to play. Fun for all the family or for two adult players. Whether you are new to this phenomenon or a seasoned board game veteran, you will find a fun selection of games to play. Feel free to bring along your own table-top games to play too and join Retford Library staff for some board game action. A small charge may apply.

Writers’ Group
Thursday 6th December and 3rd, 17th and 31st January, 2.00pm to 4.00pm

Craft and Coffee Club
Wednesday 12th December and 9th and 23rd January, 1.30pm to 3.00pm
Bring along your project, swap ideas, patterns and materials over a coffee — the cost is 50p for refreshments.

Family History Group
Monday 10th December and 14th and 28th January, 5.00pm to 7.00pm
Library facilities, including the local studies rooms and free computer access to the Ancestry website are also available.
Local and Family History Drop-In Surgery
Need advice about family or local history? A local studies librarian will be on hand from 10.00am to 1.00pm on Thursday 13th December and 17th January.

Rattle, Rhyme and Roll
Every Wednesday and Friday, 10.00am to 10.20am
Songs, rhymes and musical instruments for babies and toddlers. There will be a visit from a Very Important Person at Rattle Rhyme and Roll on Wednesday 12th December.

A large selection of lovely children’s Christmas books are available to borrow. Visit the Library gift shop for unusual presents and stocking fillers.
