North Notts Association of National Trust Members

North Notts Association of National Trust Members extend a warm welcome to all National Trust members, volunteers and staff living in the North Notts area including Retford, Tuxford, Ollerton, Worksop, South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire to join the association and become eligible to attend their winter talks and summer trips. Annual membership costs Single £4.50; Joint £6.00.

Winter talks, including the AGM, are held every month at the Crossing, Newcastle Avenue, Worksop S80 2AT, at 7.30pm on Wednesdays with coffee and biscuits from 7.00pm onwards. Entry for association members is £3.00 and for visitors is £4.00.

  • 21st November — The Chesterfield Canal: past, present and future — John Lower
  • 12th December — The Role of Muslims in WWI — Dr Irfan Malik
  • 16th January — Carved Woodwork and Decorative Plasterwork of the Sheffield region, 1570-1670 — Dr David Bostwick
  • 20th February — Britain’s Bloodiest Day: The Battle of Towton 1461 — David Skillen
  • 20th March — National Trust Midland Region — Andy Beer (National Trust Regional Director)
  • 17th April — AGM and South Yorkshire Castles — Pat McClaughlan

A programme of summer coach trips (from May to September) is also organised every year for association members. All money raised goes to National Trust projects. For more information please email nthnottsntassoc@gmail.com.
