Are you a whist or bridge player? Have you moved to, or retired to, Retford but lack a bridge or whist partner to play with? Would you like to learn? Anyone who has played rubber bridge before will find it relatively easy to join the duplicate bridge sessions at Retford Bridge Club. The club runs regular weekly face-to-face sessions and can easily find a partner for new players. There are players of all standards and the group is very welcoming.
For those who have not played rubber or duplicate bridge but have experience of whist, or who feel a little rusty, the club can put them in touch with others who play whist. Alternatively, someone can teach the basics of bridge alongside other learners. It is a great mental exercise to keep the mind alert – and fun too. Interested?
