The Wheatley Local History Group finally have clearance to recommence their activities, albeit with some conditions. One of which may be limiting the numbers who can attend. Their next meeting will take place on Monday 21st September at 10.00am in Wheatley Village Hall, when they hope to welcome a member of the Arkwright Society to tell them about the history of the cotton industry with a talk entitled ‘Cromford Mill and the Arkwrights’.
New members and guests are particularly welcome at this difficult time. Normally they would say just go along but as they have to comply with various restrictions they would ask you to contact them before going on this occasion. To book a place or just find out more please call Dave on 01427 880934.
