There’s plenty happening for families, children and young people at St Swithun’s Church in Retford this season, alongside some much-loved festive celebrations.
Connect Kids
Every Thursday during term time, Connect Kids offers fun and relaxed sessions for families with children in school years 4 to 6. The sessions run at 3.30pm in St Swithun’s School and include games, snacks, stories and music designed to spark real connections and curiosity about faith. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
Youth Hub
For young people aged 11 to 16, the Youth Hub meets every Monday from 4.00pm at St Swithun’s Church. This welcoming space features a game zone, café, chill area, consoles, pool, and table tennis. It’s a great place to hang out with friends in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. For more details, email youth@stsretford.org.
Christmas
St Swithun’s invites everyone to join in celebrating Christmas together.
- Family Carols and Nativity – 11.00am on the Sunday before Christmas. Enjoy the hot chocolate station and Christmas cookies, and come dressed as your favourite nativity character.
- Carols by Candlelight – 6.00pm on Christmas Eve, with mulled wine and mince pies.
- Christmas Day Service – 10.00am on Christmas morning.
All are warmly welcome to go along, share in the joy of the season, and celebrate Christmas at St Swithun’s Church, Retford.
