Retford Civic Society is organising a return visit to St Swithun’s Church of The King’s Men on Thursday 13th July at 7.30pm.
The King’s Men are the close harmony group of the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge. When they are not singing alongside the choristers for BBC broadcasts or daily services, the Choral Scholars work independently to produce their own season of concerts, performing works from Byrd to the Beatles. They have performed as far afield as North America, Australia and China.
Current members of The King’s Men join a star-studded legacy, with many former members going on to ensembles such as The King’s Singers, pursue successful solo careers, hold leading posts in church music, and beyond.
Tickets cost £15.00 – including a glass of wine or juice.
