Sutton Art Group

You are invited to the 23rd Annual Exhibition of Sutton Art Group in the village hall on Sunday 3rd November, from 11.00am to 3.30pm. Pop in for a browse round and see what Sutton village art group produces. There is no entry charge but tea and cakes are available to purchase. Last year, the group raised £400 for two local charities and most was raised at the exhibition from the sale of refreshments and the most splendid of raffles. Do pop the date in your diary without delay and thereby remember to pay a visit. Organisers value your support.

What a year Sutton Art Group has had so far. You can find out more at www.suttonartgroup.wordpress.com/blog. And the autumn programme is packed with invited workshops — see the website diary.

44 people visited the Walker Gallery in Liverpool in July — this trip was a great success. Liverpool was a revelation for everyone, and the Walker Gallery boasts works by many famous artists, such as Titian, Turner, Rembrandt, Monet and Hockney, as well as various impressionists and pre-Raphaelites. The group were also fortunate to find there was an exhibition of 250 items by Charles Rennie-Macintosh and ‘the four’. 49 people visited the amazing annual Staithes Art Festival in September — this was a wonderful event and the coach was full.
