Sutton Art Group

Sutton Art Group is celebrating 21 years of art in the village, enjoying a successful annual exhibition in November. Joan Reiter started the group with funding from an art grant which was obtained by Chris Jones, then chair of the Parish Council. Very soon, however, the group of 12 was self-funding and now there is a group of around 22 which meets on Friday mornings in the village hall. The first tutor, Ruth Whitam, provided excellent tuition for many years and the group has gone from strength to strength and engaged a number of tutors over the years with Elaine Nash now providing inspiration and new ideas.
