Retford Art Society’s September paintout will take place at The Bay Tree, Retford on 19th September with a 10.00am meetup in the Bay Tree Café. This outdoor event is free to all (other than the coffee) so please go along and have a chat, sketch, paint, draw and a coffee.
On Saturday 30th September renowned Lincolnshire artist Karin Christensen will be running an exciting art workshop at St Saviours Community Centre from 10.00am to 3.00pm entitled ‘Imaginary Landscapes in Ink and Watercolour’ This will be a fun, interactive workshop open to all abilities and will be something a bit different. Life drawing restarts on Wednesday 13th September at 7.00pm at Swan Studio. The event is every two weeks and is drop in. Life drawing is a great exercise and all abilities attend! It is open to both members and non-members over 16 years, but there is a limitation on numbers so best to get in touch. The cost for members is £5.00 and non-members £7.00.
The Society’s Saturday morning kids club for seven to 11 year olds restarts on 23rd September. Limited spaces are available, please get in touch! Booking is done through the Hub on Cannon Square, or call Paul on 07852 932137.
The Swan Studio sessions are on Tuesday (7.00pm) and Friday (2.00pm) and these are open sessions free to all. A £1.00 donation covers tea, coffee and biscuits; this is a great chance to discuss and paint, draw or whatever you like.
