The next art exhibition in Retford Library runs from Tuesday 10th September to Tuesday 8th October. It is an eclectic collection of work by Joan Reiter and Graham Parnell with the title ‘… Flowers, Trees, Bikes and Charlie Chaplin’. This gives a flavour of the variety of subject matter executed in various media.
Graham‘s lifelong passion for classic vehicles is reflected in the intricate and detailed representations of some well-known motor cycles. These are in stark contrast to his Charlie Chaplin paintings which bring some humour to the exhibition.
Joan‘s love of gardening is reflected in her paintings of flowers. Trees are also a favourite subject, and all are executed in various media with very different results.
The exhibition is not limited to these topics and there are plenty of other subjects on display.
Please go along to Retford Library and enjoy these artworks in a light, bright and welcoming space. If you haven’t recently visited Denman Library, a real asset to our town, then please visit and be pleasantly surprised.
