At the meeting of Bassetlaw Cardiac Support Group on 5th January, members once again welcomed Mike Ogden to talk about the Royal Bloodline. Beginning 952 years ago, Mike commenced with Alfred the Great and followed the bloodline through to our present Queen Elizabeth II.
Few monarchs have been labelled ‘Great’ — fair and good. Although some kings really made a difference, bring about reform and creating the first elected parliament etc, others were not so good ie Stephen and John. Members followed with interest the seed of kings and learned a little about one and all. It was a very interesting and compelling talk; God save our own Gracious Queen.
