North and South Wheatley Village Hall

Recent extensive refurbishment of the hall, together with the grant of a bar licence, has enabled the North and South Wheatley Village Hall team to organise a wide variety of entertainment to suit all ages and tastes. Regulars have come to expect everything from opera to rock ’n’ roll, from jazz to folk and with the occasional comedy drama thrown in for good measure!

On Saturday 20th January the hall is hosting the popular singing, dancing, comedy, cabaret, variety, theatrical group, Bowjangles. They describe themselves as a “string quartet who can really play. They dance whilst they play. They sing whilst they play. They leap, tumble, juggle and joke whilst they play…”. They come to Wheatley following a successful summer season at London’s South Bank.

On Friday 2nd March the duo Howden Jones will be performing and in April, returning by popular request, is Durham-based country singer and guitarist, Ron Spence.
