Spotlight on… young people at Aurora
Junior volunteer helps raise almost £500 for Aurora. A huge thank you to amazing junior volunteer Poppy who, at just six-years-old, recently spent the day at Asda Worksop with her mum helping to sell tickets for Aurora’s Summer Raffle. With her friendly personality and a big smile that brightened everyone’s day, Poppy helped raise almost £500 in raffle ticket sales.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped to buy a ticket, have a chat and support Aurora!

Gain experience with Aurora
Aurora are always delighted to welcome young people who want to gain valuable experience through volunteering. Recently, they hosted Elsie, a sixth form student, for a work placement with Aurora Heritage. During her week with the charity, she got hands-on with historical artefacts, curated a new display and explored local history through research.
If you’re aged 16 or over, they’d love to hear from you. There are opportunities to get involved across the Heritage Hub, tearooms, charity shop, fundraising events and more.
