Aurora is a local cancer charity based in the Old Library Building in Worksop, offering support to people across Bassetlaw who are living with cancer or a long-term health condition. The centre provides a welcoming, safe space for anyone seeking companionship, a sense of community, or the opportunity to try something new.
Spotlight on Christmas with Aurora
Tuesday Market @ Aurora – Tuesday 2nd December, 10.00am to 2.00pm.
Their monthly market will be focusing on offering that unique gift for Christmas with local crafts to explore.
Antiques and Collectables Market – Wednesday 3rd December, 1.00pm to 3.00pm
Discover hidden treasures – timeless pieces, vintage gems, and unique finds for every collector! Find your one-of-a-kind gifts, just in time for Christmas at the Aurora Centre.
Christmas Market – Saturday 6th December, 10.00am to 2.00pm.
With over 25 stalls to explore for that perfect gift, go along to Aurora and browse the local crafts, have a drink or homemade cake in Valerie’s Tearooms or grab a bargain in the charity shop. There will be free children’s activities in the Heritage Hub and Santa will be in his grotto (£5.00 per child).
Welbeck Celebration of Christmas – Wednesday 10th December, 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
Enjoy an evening of festive music at Welbeck Chapel with mulled wine, tea or coffee, and sweet treats. Browse Aurora craft stalls and enter Aurora’s Big Christmas Raffle in Titchfield Library before joining The Aurora Wellbeing Singers and a guest performer for Christmas favourites. Tickets cost £15.00.
Fundraising at Aurora
Exciting news as Aurora have appointed a new Fundraising Manager. Louise Gladwin has joined the team and is keen to get involved in fundraising activities. She will be focusing on engaging with local businesses and organisations to promote services and obtaining corporate support for the charity.
