The Rotary Club of Retford are absolutely delighted to announce they have started a new Interact Club, at the Elizabethan Academy.
What does an Interact Club do?
- A youth service club for ages 12 to 18.
- Focuses on leadership development and community service.
- Makes a difference in your school and community.
- Promotes international understanding.
- Builds leadership skills.
Encourages young people to have fun while serving others. The members, from the Elizabethan Academy, are responsible for running the club, and have already elected the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and marketing officer. The club members will decide what projects they want to do and organise them, with support from a teacher and overview by Rotarians. They are committed to carrying out two projects per year – one local and one international. The members have shown tremendous enthusiasm and are buzzing with ideas. A Festival of Remembrance
The Rotary Club of Retford, in partnership with the Mayor or Retford, present their Festival of Remembrance on Saturday 8th November at 7.00pm at Retford Town Hall. The event will feature performances by the Pleasley Colliery Welfare Band and Tony Casino – ‘The Voice’.
