Retford District MS Society Support Group’s monthly coffee, cake and chat will take place on Friday 3rd October at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford DN22 7BD, from 10.30am until 12.00pm. Anyone affected by MS will be warmly welcomed by the friendly group members and supporters. The group’s fundraising Swimathon is being held on Sunday 12th October between 12.00pm and 2.00pm at Retford Leisure Centre. Swimmers of all abilities with a connection to the group are welcome to take part. Funds raised will allow the group to provide therapeutic activities and equipment to support people in the Retford and Bassetlaw community living with Multiple Sclerosis. The annual fundraiser will take place on Friday 31st October at The Well with a Halloween Trick or Treat theme. Running from 10.30am to 12.00pm, stalls will include refreshments, tombola stands for children and adults, bottle and cake stalls, and a Halloween selfie drop. Everyone is encouraged to go along and show their support. Zoom meetings for physiotherapy, exercise, wellbeing sessions and chat continue on a weekly basis. The group promotes exercise to benefit health and wellbeing and provides exercise equipment for the home where needed. Members are also taking part in the Wednesday Wellness Project.
