Retford District MS Society Support Group’s monthly coffee, cake and chat will take place on Friday 1st August at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford DN22 7BD, from 10.30am to 12.00pm. Anyone affected by MS will be warmly welcomed by the friendly group members and supporters.
A fundraising Swimathon is being held on Sunday 12th October from 12.00pm to 2.00pm at Retford Leisure Centre. Swimmers of all abilities with a connection to the group would be very welcome to join in. Funds raised will allow the group to provide more activities and exercise equipment to members of the local MS community. The group’s annual fundraiser is taking place on Friday 31st October at The Well and will have a Halloween theme – more details to follow.
Zoom meetings for physiotherapy, exercise, wellbeing sessions and chat continue on a weekly basis. As a group, the focus is on promoting exercise to support health and wellbeing, and the group also provides home-based exercise equipment where needed. Members are also taking part in the Wednesday Wellness Project.
