Dial a Trip Tuxford is appealing for new Volunteer Drivers to join its valued Community Car Scheme. The team is in real need of support to continue providing vital transport services for those who struggle to access public transport and require help attending GP, hospital, dental or other essential appointments. The service is deeply appreciated by its clients, many of whom say they would not know what to do without it. Over 450 trips have already been completed this year, and with more volunteers, that number could be even higher.
Whether you have spare time while the children are at school, are retired, or would simply like to meet friendly people and contribute to a meaningful cause, Dial a Trip would love to hear from you. Volunteers are not pressured to take clients. All that is required is some availability, two references, a DBS check (arranged by the scheme), a full driving licence, and access to a car. All mileage is reimbursed, and there is no work required on weekends or Bank Holidays.
