Don’t miss Ordsall Summer Fête at Ordsall House on Friday 18th July, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. The sun will shine, of course (but head for All Hallows Church / Parish Hall should it dare to rain…)!
There will be all the usual stalls to keep you busy – tombola, bottle stall, books and plants, refreshments and cakes, raffle, ‘Good as New’, tabletop and other games, plus varied entertainment and hot dogs to round off the evening.
Just as importantly, dress up your children as wizards, pirates, clowns and even zebras for the fancy dress competition. You don’t have to splash out on a costume as ingenuity and originality will be equally rewarded. Later, there will be children’s races to wear them out before bedtime!
Having a clear out? Donations for the Fête are very welcome and can be taken to the event between 5.00pm and 6.00pm on the evening, or to All Hallows Church on Wednesday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
Pedestrian access to Ordsall House will be via Church Lane, Ordsall or All Hallows Close. Limited disabled parking will be available at the House on the night. But please don’t take dogs or bicycles.
Take your friends and family along with you and enjoy a lovely summer’s evening in delightful surroundings, all whilst catching up with people you may not have seen in a while!
