Retford Arts Hub had a busy month in June with art workshops in oils, acrylics and watercolour led by John Redfearn and Mark Bloomer. These are proving to be very popular and, as all materials are provided, are an ideal opportunity to try a different medium.
Mark is holding an animal acrylic workshop on Wednesday 30th July, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at a cost of £25.00.
A chance to try another artform will take place on Monday 7th July, when Melanie Eldred will be leading a glass workshop making a 3D tealight. Melanie has previously held workshops at the Hub and some beautiful work was produced,
More information about these and any other art workshops can be obtained by email to info@retfordartshub.com or call in at the Hub on Churchgate.
There will be two Kids Clubs meetings this month, on Saturdays 12th July and 26th July, before a break in August. Kids Club will be back in September.
If looking at art rather than producing it is your thing, visit their current exhibition ‘My Favourite Place’ in the Upstairs Gallery. The art is produced by local artists and is for sale at very reasonable prices.
The Hub is also a place where local artisans and crafters display and sell their work so if you are looking for that gift with a difference or some local honey or flour, eggs or salad dressings, jams or chutneys, all produced on your doorstep, call in.
