Retford Lions Club

The recent disastrous earthquake in Myanmar highlights the need for swift action to help those caught up in the mayhem. Alongside the usual disaster relief organisations, local Lions clubs are amongst the first on the ground. This worldwide organisation quickly mobilises to provide help exactly where needed by local people.

Funds are quickly released from Lions International to aid any work required. Lions are always there to serve local communities.

Locally, Retford Lions Club are pleased to support our local theatre group, the MOB, for their next production Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which is scheduled to take place from Thursday 10th to Saturday 12th July. Lions attended a rehearsal and were treated to a sample of the show, after which there was a short presentation about the work Lions carry out in the community. Tickets for the show are now on sale at the Majestic Theatre.

Sales are taking place for yellow ducks in preparation for the Charter Day race, so make sure you don’t miss out.
