Village Harmony Choir

The Village Harmony Choir, based in Sturton-le-Steeple near Retford, is a friendly group of ladies and gentlemen who love to sing. The choir’s aim has always been to raise funds for local charities through their performances.

They are currently looking to book more concerts into their diary and have availability during May and June. Anyone interested in booking the choir is invited to contact the concert secretary, Jo Preston, on 07827 816332. Alternatively, further details can be found at www.villageharmonychoir.co.uk.

New members are always welcome. Rehearsals are held most Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.00pm at Sturton-le-Steeple Village Hall, Brickings Way, Sturton, DN22 9HY. Those curious to learn more are encouraged to come along and see what the choir is all about. The group is led by Musical Director Judith Corker, with June Taylor-Rabjohn as accompanist.

A date for the diary: on Saturday 12th July, the choir will host their own concert at their ‘home venue’, Sturton Village Hall. The theme this year will be Songs We Love to Sing – a collection of well-known and favourite pieces from their repertoire.
