Retford District MS Society Support Group’s monthly coffee, cake, and chat will take place on Friday 4th April at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford DN22 7BD, from 10.30am to 12.00pm. Anyone affected by MS is welcome to join the friendly group members and supporters.
This month’s guest speaker will be Madeleine Ault, a former MHRA medicines inspector, who will be advising on keeping medicines safe and protecting against falsified medicines.
In March, the group welcomed John Bryan from Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, who gave an informative talk and presentation on recognising telephone and online scams. Leaflets on keeping warm and details of other services offered by Age UK were also provided.
The annual online review of group activities will be held on Wednesday 26th March at 6.00pm. This informal catch-up will cover group affairs and planned events. Group members are encouraged to attend and can request the link or submit discussion points by contacting retford@mssociety.org.uk.
Weekly Zoom meetings for physiotherapy, exercise, wellbeing sessions, and general chat continue to be available. The group actively promotes exercise for health and wellbeing, providing home exercise equipment where needed, and is also participating in the Wednesday Wellness Project.
