A joyful reunion recently took place between the Wednesday Group and the Retford Ukulele Group (RUG). To say the two groups were pleased to see each other would be a serious understatement. Band members were welcomed with smiles of anticipation, and they did not disappoint. They had expanded their repertoire while keeping some old favourites, performing with their usual mix of enthusiasm, skill, and great humour.
In no time, members and volunteers were up and dancing, while those unable to join in supported them with singing, clapping, and stamping their feet. Even some individuals who usually struggle with walking and standing sought assistance from volunteers so they could take part. It was a truly fabulous afternoon! One thing is certain—RUG will be invited back very soon!
