Bassetlaw Branch Parkinson’s UK

As spring approaches and (hopefully) warmer weather arrives, the committee at the Bassetlaw branch of Parkinson’s UK is busy planning a range of activities for the year’s programme of events.

The Branch aims to demonstrate that there is much to be enjoyed despite the challenges of Parkinson’s.

New members join every month and receive a warm welcome. The Branch extends a hand of friendship and support to everyone with Parkinson’s, along with their family and friends. New members are always greeted at the door and escorted to a reserved table with other first-timers. A committee member will introduce them to the group and explain everything, ensuring they do not feel alone.

The next meeting takes place on Tuesday 4th March and will welcome John Beaty and his guitar ensemble – an afternoon not to be missed.

The popular Lunch Club meets on Tuesday 18th March at approximately 12.00pm at The Lockkeeper, with new members also invited to attend.

Indoor bowling, seated exercise classes, and Singing for Wellbeing are all part of the Branch’s activities.

The Branch meets on the first Tuesday of every month at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue, S80 1EN, at 2.00pm.
