Following a lot of uncertainty with proposed safety legislation and a shortage of volunteers, the Organising Committee are at last pleased to announce that Charter Day is planned to take place on Monday 5th May 2025.
Given Charter Day is being held on VE Day, the theme will mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
It is planned to have the fair on the Square in Town as usual, a Concert in the Town Hall in the evening, which is being organised by Retford Rotary Club and Bassetlaw Hospice, and in Kings Park, a massive picnic in the park with appropriate supporting family entertainment during the afternoon.
More details will follow of organisations that will be taking part and the line-up of entertainment.
