A superb Burns Night celebration took place in West Markham on Friday 24th January, attended by 68 people. Everyone made an effort, dressing in tartan, and a talented lady piper welcomed guests into the church before piping in the haggis. The event received excellent feedback, with particular praise for the food, and the whisky tasting proved to be a great success. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thanks, as always, go to the Markham Clinton Community Project (MCCP) committee, without whom none of this would be possible. The church looked spectacular, and the event ran seamlessly.
A music event at All Saints Church is planned for the Remembrance service on Sunday 10th November, featuring the beautiful vocals of Stacey Lynn. This will be part of a special Second World War-themed lunch event. Further details on this and other upcoming events can be found at www.MCCProject.co.uk.
