The Grove and Hallcroft Methodist Churches form the Methodist presence in Retford. Although working together, they are separate units, joining for some services, supporting each other, socialising, sharing, working, and coming together for special occasions.
During the last month, you may have noticed workmen around the front of the church. They are completing the last part of the ‘church makeover’ as they repair the inside of the two towers and complete necessary work to the roof and stonework. Some innovative ideas for using the towers include creating an exhibition space for artwork, photography, and textiles. The work should not interfere too much with the normal running of the church but will limit large events and reduce the size of the car park. Work is due to be finished at the end of March.
