The Worksop Music Festival is held every March, culminating in an Award Ceremony and Prize Winners’ Concert, showcasing some of the finest performances from all sections.
Originally known as The North Notts Music Competitions, the Worksop Music and Drama Festival was founded in 1904 ‘for the continuation of good music and the brightening of village life’. Initially serving the North Nottinghamshire area known as The Dukeries, the festival continues to attract entrants from across the region, including Sheffield, Doncaster, Nottingham, Lincolnshire, and Derbyshire.
The 2025 festival will take place on Saturday 8th, Sunday 9th and Friday 14th to Sunday 16th March.
The Celebration of Music Concert will be held on Friday 25th April at 7.00pm.
The festival offers a variety of classes, including solo and ensemble, instrumental, and vocal categories. The closing date for entries is Friday 24th January 2025. For more details and to enrol, please visit www.worksopmusicfestival.co.uk.
