The topic for the January meeting of Retford and District Historical and Archaeological Society is ‘Milling on the Oldcotes Dyke’, presented by Bob Evens. Oldcotes Dyke, the final section of the river system draining parts of North Nottinghamshire, historically supported milling, with seven water mills powered by its flow.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday 8th January at 7.30pm in the Chapelgate Hall behind Grove Street Methodist Church.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Non-members are charged £3.00 per meeting.
