A year’s work by the Markham Clinton Community Project (MCCP) Art and Crafts Group that meets every Wednesday culminated in an art exhibition, which was on display for the quiz night and then the Harvest Lunch the following day. MCCP supporters voted for their favourite three exhibits. The votes were counted up and Derrick Spence, their art teacher, announced the worthy winners. It was wonderful to have had so many votes and to have so many encouraging and complimentary comments.
The winners were as follows:
Joint first place:
- Ruth Frowen – Ducks on the Water
- June Nunn – West Markham Church
Second place:
- Ruth Frowen – Tree Trunk in the Pond
Third place:
- June Palmer – Cliffs
October’s history talks were excellent and gave a fascinating insight into the Pilgrim Fathers. A huge thank you to Maggy and Chris Watkins who gave up their time to do this.
They also had a wonderful party and celebration to welcome Cameron Mainprize to the village, held at All Saints Church, West Markham. It was great to see the church packed full again. Thank you to Kerry,
Tom, Judith and Ken, it was a pleasure and privilege to be able to welcome Cameron into the church and village community.

Church matters
The Pet Service in October was well attended at All Saints Church West Markham and they welcomed six dogs: Jennifer with Amber, Mia and Amber Holt, Timothy, Fred and Ginny Hayton and Jasper the guide dog for the blind, sponsored by Judith, and Hugh was there in spirit. They were also joined by Herbie the tortoise, who came along (albeit a bit sleepy) with Hollie. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported, with and without pets.
Church Services

- Sunday 22nd December, 6.00pm, Carol Service
Everyone welcome, refreshments served after every service. Leave hymn and prayer requests in the requests box at church.
