Is it December already? Time has certainly flown for the Wednesday Group this year, with a host of wonderful musicians adding to the enjoyment: two ukulele groups – Retford and Dukeries Ukeries – alongside the Littleborough Skifflers, Jessica Brett, The Canon Singers, Dave and Sandra, and regular pianist Frank Bulman.
Once the music begins, it’s never long before members are up dancing, becoming ever more animated and cheerful as the lively tunes play!
Festive season events include a Christmas lunch at the West Retford Hotel, with a visit to the pantomime at the Majestic planned for January. The final meeting of the year will be on Wednesday 18th December, featuring a Christmas party with entertainment by Dave and Sandra.
After this, the group will take a two-week break – the only one in the calendar – before returning on Wednesday 8th January, ready to welcome everyone back. The Group’s best wishes are extended to all members, friends, and supporters for the festive season and New Year.
For those caring for someone with dementia, those with a diagnosis, or anyone interested in learning more, the Wednesday Group may be helpful.
