The Retford Inner Wheel Club is looking forward to the Christmas season, starting with a Christmas-themed coffee morning at Grove Street Chapel on Thursday 28th November, beginning at 10.30am. Friends and family are warmly invited to join.
The group also plans to visit Ye Olde Bell for the Victorian market, in addition to the Inner Wheel Christmas market. On Monday 3rd December, there will be a Christmas flower arranging morning.
The recent Charter Lunch, celebrating 100 years of Inner Wheel, was a great success. The event featured fashions from each decade of Inner Wheel, complete with music, covering styles from 1920s flapper dresses to 1960s pop and Madonna. Old Father Time made an appearance to welcome the new millennium, making it an enjoyable and memorable event for all.
Retford’s Inner Wheel District, covering Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, will hold its annual carol service on Friday 8th December at St Peter and St Paul Church in Warsop, where Santa will also make a special appearance.
The Christmas meeting for the club will be held on Tuesday 12th December at Ye Olde Bell, featuring entertainment provided by members, along with a festive Christmas meal.
