On Wednesday 24th July, Markham Clinton Community Project (MCCP) hosted a music evening featuring performances by Tuxford Academy students at West Markham Church. Current and former students delivered outstanding renditions, including songs from musicals and pieces by Amy Winehouse. Some students showcased their own arrangements for music exams, with one band performing an original piece and a solo pianist playing a flawless Chopin composition.
The event was well attended, with 78 family members, friends, and local community members present. Refreshments were served during the interval. Special thanks go to Mr Jeff Evason and Mr Matt Williams from the Tuxford Academy Music Department for organising the evening’s entertainment, with Principal Mr Jon Hardy also in attendance.
Due to its success, MCCP hopes to make this event a regular feature.
