Support the church in East Markham by attending its charity concert, Opera at the Manor, on Saturday 8th June.
Enjoy an evening of singing by operatic soprano Aileen Baker, a recent graduate of the Royal Academy. It will be held in the lovely garden on the 26th century manor in the village, close to the 14th century church – the ‘Cathedral of the Trent Valley’ (John Betjeman).
Guests are invited to take a picnic with them to enjoy in the garden as the sun sets with the backdrop of garden, manor house and church.
Tickets are £25.00 each, obtainable from eastmarkhampcc@gmail.com. Gates open at 5.30pm for the performance to start at 6.30pm; there will be a 45 minute interval for eating and refreshment (bring your own) and the evening will end at about 8.45pm.
