Motoring enthusiasts are invited to a car and bike show with a difference – there’s three Sturgate Straight events to look forward to this year: Friday 17th May and 14th June from 4.00pm and Saturday 13th July from 10.00am.
Hosted by Eastern Air Executive, with support from Retford and Gainsborough Motor Club, these events are hosted on Sturgate Airfield, DN21 5PA.
Sturgate Straight is a classic / sports / supercar and bike event / meeting, but the added bonus is that car and bike owners can put their vehicle through its paces in front of others with runs on the Straight. There is no other car and bike show locally like it.
This year, each event will support a different charity:
- Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance
- MacMillan Cancer Support
- Crohn’s and Colitis UK
To show your car or bike or simply to go along and take a look, you just need to turn up – there is plenty of room. However, if you want to run the Straight, then you must book by private messaging the Retford and Gainsborough Motor Club via Facebook.
The organisers are actively looking for additional charity sponsors, whereby 100% of your donation goes to the above charities in return for publicity on the Retford and Gainsborough Motor Club and Sturgate Straight Facebook pages plus trade stand opportunities.
