The Retford and District Historical and Archaeological Society meeting on Wednesday 13th March will be about Foss Canal, England’s oldest canal, running from Lincoln to Torksey. Speaker Chris Hewis will take members on an imagined journey in the early 20th century, using old photographs from the Saxilby History group.
Join them at 7.30pm in the Chapelgate Hall situated behind Grove Street Methodist Church. Non-members £3.00.
The April meeting will be about the history of local delicacy Henderson’s Relish.
