Retford Area Scout Christmas Post will be running again this year (assuming COVID regulations do not change). Volunteers will deliver your Christmas cards at a cost of 35p per stamp (no parcels can be accepted) by Friday 24th December.
The Post is organised by 7th Retford (St Swithun’s) Scout Group. All profits from the scheme will support the local Scout Groups involved this year: 7th Retford, 2nd Tuxford and 1st East Markham and Askham.
Cards can be delivered to all areas of Retford and Ordsall and the following villages:
Askham, Babworth, Barnby Moor, Church Laneham, Clarborough, Clayworth, Darlton, East Drayton, East Markham, Eaton, Elkesley, Gamston, Grove, Habblesthorpe, Hayton, Headon, Laneham, Little Gringley, Lound, Markham Moor, Mattersey, Mattersey Thorpe, Milton, Morton, North Leverton, North Wheatley, Rampton, Ranby, Ranskill, Rockley, South Leverton, South Wheatley, Stokeham, Sturton-le-Steeple, Sutton-cum-Lound, Torworth, Treswell, Tuxford, Upton, Welham, West Drayton, West Markham and Woodbeck.
Stamps will go on sale on Saturday 20th November and the last date for posting is Tuesday 14th December. The shops and businesses listed below will have the Christmas Post stamps for sale and a special post box on behalf of 7th Retford:
